Our Refinishing Process
Our refinishing process is designed to restore and elevate the visual character of hardwood flooring - creating a fresh, design-forward foundation for the space. We begin with comprehensive sanding to remove existing finishes and surface imperfections, followed by an on-site color consultation where we develop a range of custom stain options tailored to the environment. Once selected, the stain is applied and sealed with a protective finish to enhance depth, tone, and overall aesthetic. Each stage is executed with precision and intention, delivering a refined result that transforms the look and feel of the space.
Step 1:
Sanding & Surface Preparation
Existing finishes are carefully removed through professional sanding, using industry leading dust containment and extraction methods. This corrects surface inconsistencies and prepares the wood to come to life through color.
Step 2:
Stain Development & Application
Custom stains are developed and sampled on-site, allowing clients and designers to review a range of tones and depths in the actual space before finalizing a direction. Once selected, the stain is carefully applied to ensure seamless alignment with the project’s overall design intent and surrounding materials.
Step 3:
Protective Finishing System
Multiple coats of a high-performance finish are applied to protect the surface while enhancing the wood’s natural character, tone, and depth. We offer both traditional multi-step finishing systems - including custom stain applications with layered water-based finishes - as well as advanced oil-cured finishes, allowing us to tailor the final look and performance to the needs of the space.
